O ye who believe! Fasting is prescribed to you as it was prescribed to those before you, that ye may (learn) self-restraint,-

O you who have believed, decreed upon you is fasting as it was decreed upon those before you that you may become righteous -

O you who believe! fasting is prescribed for you, as it was prescribed for those before you, so that you may guard (against evil).

مومنو! تم پر روزے فرض کئے گئے ہیں۔ جس طرح تم سے پہلے لوگوں پر فرض کئے گئے تھے تاکہ تم پرہیزگار بنو
